An Eorzea based free company, Torchlight Ventures is a lawful leaning, neutral organization with roots throughout all of the major city states on the continent, serving as a second home for the lost, the forgotten, and the misbegotten.We take jobs large and small and are experienced in a wide variety of tasks; from diplomacy, and bodyguard work, to artefact recovery and caravan guards.

01. We are a strictly 18+ community. We deal with mature themes and expect all members to be adults. Membership is by application only.02. Respect is our top priority. Every member is to be treated with the dignity that they deserve. Any issues should be resolved peacefully, Overseers will assist as necessary.03. Torchlight Ventures has a zero tolerance policy for discrimination. Any forms of racism, sexism, homophobia, or transphobia will not be allowed, and will likely result in immediate removal.04. We are a community out of game as well as in game. In character feelings and actions should be taken as nothing more than that, the actions and feelings of a character.05. Repeated leaving and rejoining of the FC may result in a permanent ban from the FC.

『Zoran Ajolla』

about.Former teacher, soldier, and freedom fighter, Zoran may be the oldest on the leadership team but he does not let that slow him down any. A veteran of the Bozjan war, he has years of experience working in both clandestine and field operations, as well as logistics organization. Zoran has come from the east in search of work and has recently taken a position in helping to lead Torchlight's field operations and much to his chagrin, fill out paperwork.

『Lucinne Arscelin』

about.Lucinne fulfills much more of a traditional 'mercenary' archetype compared to her colleagues. Hailing from Ala Mhigo, she spends most of her time fighting, thinking about fighting, and recuperating from fighting. She often plays the part of a tactician when guiding her company in all manner of levequests. In her free time, Cinne enjoys painting and playing her lute.

After serving in the War against Garlemald, she was eventually granted Clemency to return to a post-Dragonsong Ishgard. Lyli's peculiar disability soon earned her the nickname of 'The Slime Witch'; the eerie Medical Overseer of Torchlight Ventures, whose studies focus upon the treatment of exotic curses & maladies.

About

Torchlight Ventures is a company of adventurers for hire, first and foremost, intended to take on jobs both large and small that may not be in the interest of the larger Grand Companies of Eorzea. These jobs take the form of events run by our community, both official company story run by the overseers, and side stories run by our own members. Combat is done using a custom d100 based system developed in house by our moderators and rules staff, and allows for a high degree of character customisation to ensure that each character retains their unique abilities and skills including custom abilities developed in collaboration with players.

Events are scheduled weekly, and can be anything from a literal walk in the park, to hunting large monsters, to aiding in the capture of dangerous criminals. Both social and combat events are common, including twice monthly nights at the Fire Pit, the tavern owned and operated by members of our company.

Other than being a space to facilitate roleplay and aid in the telling of stories, we pride ourselves in being a place to relax and make friends. Outside of the game members regularly socialize in our Discord server. It's not an uncommon sight to see nearly a dozen members in a voice channel chatting, playing games, or watching something as a group. We also take a great deal of pride in being incredibly LGBTQ+ friendly, within the community hate is not tolerated to ensure that this is a comfortable space for all who wish to call it home.

Please note that Torchlight Ventures is an 18+ community, minors will not be admitted with zero exceptions.Tell us about your character!
Include information such as their profession, goals and aspirations, hobbies, their personality, and anything else you might deem relevant.Currently perspective members can apply for one of two statuses, member or associate. Members are as they sound, full members of the company including Discord membership and FC Membership. Associate status is best for those who do not wish to join the FC fully but still participate in events and join the Discord.Upon submission, we will contact you via Discord after we have reviewed your application! Further information on the steps taken after applying can be found in the section below.

The Application Process

the application process has three (3) simple steps

1. apply: Fill out the form above!2. ooc discord group dm: This is where you and 2+ officers from Torchlight are gathered together in a text only Group DM in Discord! It's a casual discussion giving everyone a chance to check vibes, chit chat, and ask questions!3. ic interview/introduction: Should you be found a good fit for the community, you will be invited to the Discord server and if seeking full membership to the FC in game. In order to get you membership ICly, an officer will have an RP session with you so your character can be properly admitted to the FC! This step applies for full membership only. Associates wishing to become full members will still have to go through this interview to receive full membership.
